1:04 pm on 8 August 2013

The international airport in French Polynesia has reopened following a bomb alert this morning.

Access to Faa'a International Airport was disrupted for a few hours after a suspicious bag was spotted in front of a shop in the international terminal.

Staff and travellers were evacuated while the police investigated the bag.

Staff at the airport say no international flights were disrupted as none was scheduled during that time.
