Fiji's Mahendra Chaudhry is going forward as a Labour Party nominee for election, despite losing his appeal against conviction last week.
He was among the party's 42 nominees whose applications were filed at the Fijian Elections Office on Monday by the midday deadline.
The National Federation Party, Sodelpa and the people's Democratic Party have filed nominations for all fifty seats on offer in Fiji's new-look parliament.
While One Fiji has put forward 14 nominees.
Chaudhry who was convicted and fined for breaching the Exchange Control Act has pledged to continue leading the Labour Party into the election and told media today that his fight was not yet over.
