The Fiji cricket team's unbeaten run came to an end yesterday, in emphatic fashion as they lost their Twenty20 encounter against the Maroochydore Swans by 63 runs.
Winning the toss the home side elected to bat first and quickly it became clear they had made the correct decision.
Fiji's bowlers struggled to find a way to stem the flow of runs as the Swans opening pair made a rapid start.
Uncharacteristic fielding errors also saw the Swans were score 81 runs without loss after nine overs and looked likely to post a score in excess of 200.
However Fiji fought back well in the middle overs, and the fall of 5 wickets managed to restrict the home side to 167 for 7 from their 20 overs.
In reply Fiji were bowled out for 104.
Fiji play their eighth and final game on the Sunshine coast tonight against the Sunshine Coast Scorchers.
