Fiji Television Limited Board has announced Geoffrey Smith as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Fiji Village reports a lawyer, Mereoni Matavou, has also been appointed the company's secretary to the board.
Mr Smith has been acting as CEO since December 2014, when the CEO, Tevita Gonelevu, and Head of Content, Tanya Waqanika, were forced to resign over the sevens rugby dispute with the Government.
Mr Smith was formerly the Head of News at Fiji TV, and has been at the network for over 15 years.
