In the Vanuatu supreme court case of bribery charges against 15 members of parliament, Justice Mary Sey has adjourned the hearing of submissions of lawyers until this morning.
Submissions day was scheduled for today but the court heard this morning that the Public Prosecutor had not made the copy of their submission to defence lawyers.
The lawyers of the 15 MPs involved in the bribery case have complained that they should have received a copy of the submission before the hearing begun this morning.
The prosecution has informed the court that more than 130 pages would be handed over to defence lawyers by this yesterday afternoon.
Justice Sey said the delay of prosecution's submission would not delay her verdict.
She told the parties that her judgment will be delivered as scheduled tomorrow.
