The Niue Premier, Toke Talagi, has had a first audience with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace.
Mr Talagi is one of several Pacific leaders in England in their roles as heads of their respective national rugby unions to attend this weekend's World Cup final.
He told the Queen that Niue had recently commemorated 100 years since 150 Niuean men left the island and volunteered to help her grandfather King George V in the First World War.
It is a first time a Niue premier has had an audience with the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
