Eight women from around the Pacific are competing for the crown of Miss Pacific Islands, in Rarotonga this weekend.
The contestants are from Tonga, Niue, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, American Samoa, Samoa and Cook Islands.
The first judged portion of the competition is the pre-pageant interviews this morning, with the talent contest held at night.
Tomorrow the girls will compete in traditional wear and a final interview, before the winner is crowned.
The reigning Miss Pacific Islands, Latafale Auvaa, is missing from the pageant as she's in China competing in Miss World.
Samoa has been chosen as the host for next year's pageant, marking the 30th anniversary of the regional event.
