In Samoa, three police officers including an inspector and a sergeant have been arrested over allegations of being involved with official corruption.

The officers have been suspended on full pay to await a court appearance.

The Police Commissioner, Egon Keil, says there are several other charges laid against the suspended officers.

"This is part of us being accountable to the public and to our government as well, especially to the people of Samoa, that we're not going to look away if there's misconduct going on."
