A former coach for the Tonga's Under-17 national football team has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for manslaughter.
Radio Tonga reports Lokoua Taufahema, 42, was given a three-year deduction for his guilty plea and co-operation with the police, his remorse and overall history of achievement.
In December 2014, Taufahema, a father for four, poured boiling oil on his wife's face and other parts of her body.
She died as a result of severe burns.
In a statement, he said he was jealous when he found his wife was texting another man.
