Another Iranian asylum seeker held by Australia on Nauru has reportedly tried to set himself on fire before security guards managed to stop him.
The Australia-based Refugee Action Coalition told AAP that the man aged in his 20s doused himself in petrol at the Nauru detention centre on Sunday night.
Police detained him briefly and then released him.
Last week, a 23-year-old Iranian man set himself on fire and later died from the burns in a Brisbane hospital.
