The New Caledonian Football Federation says the body can expect four years of stability following the election its new president.

43-year-old Steeve Laigle received a large majority of support beating off five other candidates, with Jean-Paul Salvatore his closest rival.
The OFC President David Chung congratulated Laigle on his new role as President of FCF.
Chung said Laigle made a strong commitment to the development of football and New Caledonia was in good hands.
Laigle is a former defender turned goalkeeper, and played most of his football with Auteuil in Nouméa.
He had been a member of the FCF Federal Council for the past year and presides over the Futsal Committee.
His relationship to the five-a-side discipline saw him working with New Caledonia's national futsal team as an assistant coach for the past few years.
Laigle campaigned on change and a focus on the diverse disciplines of football including futsal and beach soccer.
