Air Vanuatu says it has resumed its codeshare arrangement with Qantas, but only for flights between Brisbane and Santo.
The codeshare was suspended in January after Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia suspended services to Port Vila over the condition of the airport runway there.
Air Vanuatu continued to operate flights, but the Australian airline suspended its codeshare arrangement.
In a statement, Air Vanuatu says the Qantas codeshare will resume for weekly flights to Santo immediately, and it is working to revive the codeshare for Port Vila, the main international gateway, soon.
Emergency repairs of the runway at Port Vila were completed last month, and Virgin Australia has resumed its flights.
However, Air New Zealand still refuses to return, saying plans for a more permanent upgrade need to be committed to.
