The Bougainville Electoral Commission has launched a drive to enrol people for the Papua New Guinea national elections set for June next year.
Returning officers are being trained this week after which they will go to their home towns and pass on their knowledge to awareness agents, who will then visit people and encourage them to register.
The Electoral Commissioner, Patilias Gamato, has been pushing for improvements in the roll to ensure all eligible voters are on it ahead of the poll next year.
