An Australian film has won the Grand Prize at the International Pacific Documentary Film Festival FIFO in French Polynesia.
The film The Opposition was directed by Hollie Fifer and looks at Papua New Guinea squatters being evicted to make way for a resort complex at Paga Hill.
Special prizes were given fo the films Mele Murals, How bizarre, the story of an Otara millionaire and Zach's Ceremony'
The prize of the public was awarded to Alors on danse.

THE PUBLIC'S CHOICE AWARD: ALORS ON DANSE directed by Jacques Navarro-Rovira and produced by Oceania films, Beau Geste et Polynésie 1ère, that wins a prize of 300 000 XPF. This prize is offered by the City Hall of Papeete.
THE BEST SHORT FILM: JE NE PLEURERAI PLUS directed by Olivier Gresset and produced by Duol productions, that wins a prize of 100 000 XPF. This prize is offered by the Organizing committee.
OKEANOS PRIZE:FADING SANDS, directed by Stephen Limkin and produced by Light studios/ World vision Solomon Islands that wins a prize of 300 000 XPF, offered by the Okeanos fondation.
THE PRIZE OF WRITING MARATHON: Cybèle Raybaud, with her scenario "Femme malgré lui"; she wins a plane ticket offered by Air Tahiti Nui.
