A Police Commission of Inquiry in Samoa is to look into allegations of evidence tampering to support the traffic-related charges against the suspended Director of the National Prosecution office.
The inquiry was approved by government last week and the terms of reference for the three member inquiry which includes, former policewoman Tavu'i Annie Laumea, church leader Viliamu Mafo'e, and former Manu Samoa team manager Leota Sami Leota.
Mauga Precious Chang was found not guilty in a trial last year however the court's decision has been appealed.
The inquiry will investigate allegations of tampering evidence against the suspended Assistant Police Commissioner, Samoa Mulinu'u, and suspended Police Inspector, Luatimu Samau.
The inquiry will also look into other separate complaints on police cases which involved the two officers.
Meanwhile the suspended police corporal, Hillary Eteuati, will also be part of the inquiry in which a complaint of criminal charges against him will be investigated as well.
