Samoa's Police Commissioner Fuiavailili Egon Keil says it is time for the police to put their differences aside.
There was tight security today at the venue for a reconciliation between Fuiavailili and other senior police staff as the formerly suspended commander returned to work.
The commissioner thanked the Prime Minister and cabinet for the decision to restore him as the head of the Ministry of Police.
He said he still had goals he needed to achieve.
"We have a lot of work to do and it is time to put differences aside and look at the common goal to better Samoa. So I am very grateful that that has happened. It is a big difference from last time I reported to work and it is something that I am very grateful for. I am looking forward to continuing on with my duties."
The Prime Minister and Minister of Police, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, said the decision by the Supreme Court to dismiss criminal allegations against the commissioner mean the matter was now at an end.
