An American tourist and two local men have been jailed in French Polynesia for importing methamphetamine from the United States.
The three have been given sentences of between 18 months and four years for bringing in 195 grams of the banned drug.
The case dates back to last year when the American woman received a parcel with the drugs from the US while staying at a Tahiti hotel.
She reportedly acted in collusion with the two local men who were to help sell the drugs.
One of them had an earlier conviction which he received with the American woman's husband.
According to La Depeche de Tahiti, the woman and one the men have also been jointly fined almost $US200,000.
