Police in Samoa have appealed to the public for help to identify the driver of a vehicle believed have been involved in fatal a hit and run accident which claimed the life of an Australia missionary.
According to a report by Talamua News Service, police said the suspect had been identified as having recently returned from the Regional Seasonal Workers Program in Australia.
Police also alleged alcohol was involved and that the vehicle was a rental car.
The search for the suspect is concentrated in the district of Falealili, on the south coast of the main island Upolu, where the accident happened.
