The Chief Executive of ATS services at Fiji's main international airport says it is completely safe to travel to Fiji through Nadi airport.
Hare Mani's statement was a response to the national secretary of the Australian Transport Workers Union discouraging travellers from flying to Fiji because of safety concerns arising from an ongoing impasse between disgruntled workers and their employer.
The ATS workers are demanding better working conditions and calling for allegations of sexual harassment to be taken seriously.
Tony Sheldon said untrained personnel were being brought in to fill in vacancies and this is compromising passenger safety.
But Mr Mani said this is not the case and operations at the Nadi International Airport are running normally despite the circumstances.
"Right now it has been two weeks of it. Flights are operating normally. It is safe to come to Fiji and nobody loses his bags and you will come in normally and you will go out normally. All is good. We will welcome you to Fiji. Ni Bula," said Hare Mani.
