Argosy University has opened a new campus in Ottoville, American Samoa.

Argosy, which already has 450 students doing post graduate study, has taken up the bottom floor of the two story Ottoville Professional Building, which is owned by the Haleck Family.

At the opening, Governor Lolo Moliga urged the territory to make use of Argosy University's services to attain higher education.

The university could tailor some of the courses to fit the needs for certain industries, he suggested.

"We need accountants, we need IT technicians and a whole list of specialised skills that are badly needed to better serve our community," Lolo said.

"I am confident, without any benefit of the doubt, that Argosy University will remain and will continue to impact education and our capacity building."
