Defence lawyers are planning to submit there is no case to answer in the Fiji Times sedition trial underway in Suva.
The company, its publisher, two editors and a letter writer are on trial in the High Court in Suva over an allegedly seditious letter published in the Times' Nai Lalakai newspaper two years ago.
The Fiji Times reports the defence lawyers indicated they would be submitting that there was no case to answer at the High Court in Suva this morning.
Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has ordered the lawyers file and serve their written submissions to the prosecution by 3pm today
The prosecution will have to file their submission by 9am tomorrow.
Oral submissions will be heard tomorrow.
