Ase Boas scored two tries on his return to the starting line-up as the Papua New Guinea Hunters rugby league team beat Sunshine Coast Falcons 24-12 to return to winning ways in the Intrust Super Cup.

The visitors opened the scoring after two minutes in Port Moresby with a Jacob Hind try before Hunters skipper Boas dotted down seven minutes from halftime, with brother Watson Boas slotting the extras to send the team into the break at 6-all.

Wawa Paul scored to put the home side in front ten minutes into the second spell before the Falcons struck back through Iliesa Ratuva on the hour mark.

Boas scored his second try three minutes later before Nixon Putt put the result beyond doubt with a try ten minutes from full-time.
