A strike has been averted at two luxury hotels in Bora Bora in French Polynesia.
The union O oe to oe rima and the management of the Intercontinental and the Meridien reached a new agreement, avoiding a strike called for this week.
The union said it wanted a review of the contracts.
However a demand for a daily $US10,000 motivation incentive to counter pressure from management was rejected.
