Swains Islanders have selected incumbent Su'a Alexander Jennings to serve another term as the island's faipule in American Samoa's House of Representatives.
The selection was made at a meeting this week in front of 45 people of Swains Island ancestry.
Su'a was unanimously selected to serve for an eighth term.
During the meeting Su'a spoke about the work he is doing for the district, particularly the challenge of regular transportation.
While he acknowledged the costly exercise often takes up half the annual budget but promised to continue to work with the Governor on the issue.
Su'a said partnering with government agencies such as the National Marine Sanctuary has been helpful.
