Twenty I-Kiribati nationals have gained Australian qualifications in nine technical and vocational programmes through Australian aid funded technical training.
The Australia Pacific Training Coalition, or APTC, graduation ceremony was held in Betio on Wednesday.
APTC has trained over 13,000 Pacific women and men, including over 440 I-Kiribati nationals, helping them gain internationally recognised Australian qualifications for a wide range of vocational careers.
The Kiribati students got certificates in carpentry, commercial cookery, early childhood education, fabrication, hospitality, light vehicle mechanical technology, painting and decorating, plumbing and tiling.
