A 24-year-old man has appeared in court in Samoa charged with the murder of two men aged 42 and 69 at Leulumoega village last month.
The accused, Simanu'a Manuelu, of Falefa village has not yet entered a plea to charges of murder and being armed with a dangerous weapon because the police are yet to finalise the charges.
Mr Simanu'a has been ordered to find a lawyer before he appears in court again next week.
Meanwhile, the body of the elderly deceased man has been taken to his family in New Zealand for his funeral.
The village of Falefa held a traditional ifoga where gifts were presented to the family of the two victims.
