Niue has passed legislation to join the Asian Development Bank.

MP O'Love Jacobsen said Niue's assembly voted overwhelmingly in support of joining the development bank on Thursday.
She said it will cost the government nearly $US100,000 per year to be a member.
Ms Jacobsen said Niue should tread carefully with loans from the bank so future generations aren't left with debts to pay.
