The family of a young Papua New Guinean who died in a Chinese prison is appealing for help in having his body repatriated.
Tyson Kulara, a university student from Porgera in PNG's Enga province, was pronounced dead in Dalian prison late last month.
His family said that nine days lapsed before the PNG embassy in Beijing was notified of his death.
Tyson Kulara was reported to have died of a cardiac arrest.
EMTV reports that his family is disappointed over why it has taken so long to receive information about his death and consular assistance for his repatriation.
The family has presented its concerns to PNG's Foreign Affairs department.
The young man had gone to China last year to study accounting at Liaoning University.
