Reports from Fiji say a shortage of insulin is putting people with type-1 diabetes, especially children, at risk.
The Fiji Times reports the National Diabetes Centre has heard concerns about the shortage especially from parents of children with the disease.
The centre's Viliame Qio is quoted saying it had been an issue for the past three months and there was a need to stock up on the medication.
With insulin only available at major hospitals, Mr Qio said the centre is asking the government to look into the issue.
