Fiji's police chief has ordered an investigation into hate speech circulated on social media following the Christchurch massacre.
Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho said the police will be taking people to task for spreading violence online.
He told Fiji media there had been no formal complaints made yet but he has directed a probe by the Criminal Investigations Department.
He said it was worrying to see the amount of hatred being propagated via hate speech and rhetoric online.
He said it couldn't be allowed to continue.
