The Fiji government has signed contracts to provide the people in the greater Suva area with better access to safe, reliable water.
The chairman of the Water Authority, Bhavesh Kumar, and Ji Xiayong from the contracting company, Sinohydro-HDEC JV signed the contracts in a ceremony at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
The project will construct a new supply intake on the Rewa River, a water treatment plant, a pumping station, a reservoir, and a transmission main to connect the new water supply to the Water Authority's existing distribution system.
