Two children in Fiji have drowned in flood waters in two separate incidents over the Easter weekend.

Fiji Village reports a 15-year-old student drowned after being swept away while swimming with his older brother in Tailevu.
And in Ovulau a three-year-old boy died after slipping while trying to jump over a drain.
Fiji Police are warning parents to monitor their children closely and to keep them away from playing in flooded areas.
The Fiji Meteorological Service has heavy rain and flood warnings in place.
