The World Bank has approved more than $US70 million in grants for the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands.
The bank said the funds, which were approved on Friday, will improve maritime safety and climate resilience in the North Pacific states.
Around $US38 million will go towards repairing and constructing new maritime infrastructure in the FSM.
The Marshall Islands will get $US33 million for upgrading and repairing wharfs and docks.
"Climate change is becoming an increasing threat to our maritime infrastructure and operations across Marshall Islands," said Marshall Islands transport minister Thomas Heine.
