Some police officers in the Cook Islands have received a pay rise, nearly two years after a government recommendation.
The Cook Islands News reports the Public Accounts Committee said in 2017 it was "totally dismayed" by police salaries and called for urgent action.
Police spokesperson Trevor Pitt says a new roster system has eased work hours.
