The family of an American Samoan man who died after being arrested in Hawaii plan to appeal, after a federal jury sided with his arresting officers.
Sheldon Paul Haleck died in downtown Honolulu four years ago after being pepper-sprayed and tasered multiple times.
His family maintain he was an unarmed, defenceless man who was subjected to excessive force bythe three officers, Christopher Chung, Samantha Critchlow, and Stephen Kardash.
But after three days of deliberatons, a jury found the force used against Mr Haleck was warranted.
