In the wake off several recent prison breaks in American Samoa, the governor has announced plans for a new security wall around the Territorial Correctional Facility.

Lolo Matalasi Maliga said the government had looked at what needed to be done to keep inmates from escaping.
He said its decision was for a concrete wall around the jail to replace the current steel fence.
The bill to authorise spending on a new jail wall is expected to be submitted to the Fono later this week.
