Two convicts who escaped from Samoa's brand new multi-million dollar Tanumalala Prison over the weekend are back in custody.
Police in Samoa say Lauitiiti Tualima and Aniseko Vaelua have been recaptured.
A corrections officer has been fired over the escape and will apper in court on criminal charges.
The Commissioner of Prisons has been suspended pending an investigation into the escape.
Corrections Minister Tialavea Tionisio Hunt told Parliament on Tuesday that there was breach of duty by a prison officer which led to the escape.
The minister said the inquiry would also examine why the two inmates, who are notorious for escaping custody, were being held together in the same cell.
