The Bougainville Covid -19 health response team is waiting for a flight from Port Moresby to take samples from two possibly infected people to Port Moresby for testing.
But few planes are flying.
The Health Secretary Clement Totavun said, as of Sunday, 316 people had been screened on Bougainville since a State of Emergency was declared last month, with 301 cleared and the others identified as 'persons of interest'.
Most of these were under observation but samples from two people were awaiting a flight because Bougainville doesn't have testing facilities.
