Fiji police are investigating claims of water poisoning at a remote village that left 10 children needing medical assistance.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they received a report last week alleging chemicals had been added to the village's water source.
Ms Naisoro said children from Namuamua Village in Naitasiri were treated at the Naqali Health Centre after reportedly drinking from "poisoned" water.
She said a team from the Crime Scene Investigation and Forensics Unit has been deployed to the village.
Police said samples of the water have been taken for testing.
