Former Bougainville rebel leader, Ishmael Toroama continues to extend his lead as the preference eliminations continue in the presidential vote.
After the 12th elimination of what could be as many as 24, Toroama has 31,600 votes, a lead that's just shy of ten thousand over second placed Simon Dumarinu.
Next comes Thomas Raivet, Peter Tsiamalili and Fidelis Semoso.
To win the presidency a candidate needs more than 50 percent of the vote - at this stage a tally of 71,444.
Toroama, who came second in the presidential vote to John Momis in 2015, is a former commander of the Bougainville Revolutionary Army.
