Two public schools in the Northern Marianas have been given nearly $US28 million for repairs and rehabilitation from 2018's Typhoon Yutu.
Yutu nearly destroyed two schools, prompting the Federal Emergency Management Agency to come to the party.
$US25.3 million goes to Hopwood Middle School, replacing the administration and library facility, repairs across the campus, including new wiring, plumbing, roofing and windows.
The $2.3 million for Oleai Elementary School will pay for air conditioning units, new lighting, walls, doors, and floorings in classrooms, restrooms, and the cafeteria building.
