Palau is leading the United States on Covid-19 vaccination stats with 17 percent of the population having received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine.
Over 3,000 people (3,046) have been vaccinated including frontline workers, people with underlying health conditions, the elderly and political leaders.
Our correspondent in Palau, Bernadette Carreon is among those to have received their first vaccination
"There is going to be a break and then they will start rolling out the second dose on February 1st.
"Palau has received at least over 6,000 doses of Moderna vaccine and they are expecting another shipment in the middle of February," she said.
Palau is one of the few countries in the world that have managed to remain Covid free since the start of the pandemic thanks to strict border restrictions.
