Fijian Police say they will investigate an alleged case of police brutality against a bus driver after a video surfaced on social media.
The three minute video showing a policeman violently assaulting the driver was circulating on Monday.
This is the second time in three weeks that members of the police force have been seen using excessive, unjustified force on people.
The latest incident, which occurred on Vanua Levu, shows a police officer in uniform attempting to force the bus driver off his seat by aggressively holding his neck and slamming it onto the seat several times.
The driver, who is handcuffed, can be heard saying "I can't breathe".
Passengers on board can be heard telling the police officer that he is "wrong" and attempts to calm the officer by a member of parliament who was at the scene, Lenora Qereqeretabua, were unsuccessful.
The Fiji Bus Operators Association has condemned the assault.
Acting president, Zane Dean, is calling on the leadership of the Fiji Police Force to take action against the policeman and examine the behaviour of its officers.
