Former Chiefs and Saracens fly half Glen Jackson has been appointed as the new head coach of the Fijian Drua.
He will replace Mick Bryne, who was announced as the head coach of the Flying Fijians team last month, on a three-year contract.
Jackson has played top level rugby in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, making 60 Super Rugby Pacific appearances for the Chiefs between 1999 - 2004 and 130 appearances for Saracens in Premiership Rugby.
He is also a former international referee, officiating in 32 Tests, 88 Super Rugby Pacific matches and 60 domestic New Zealand matches including eight Ranfurly Shield fixtures.
He was also the assistant coach for the Flying Fijians at the 2023 Rugby World Cup campaign.
Fijian Drua chief executive Mark Evans said Jackson was appointed after a thorough process.
Evans said has made a "tremendous contribution" to the Drua since their inception in 2022.
Jackson will take over Bryne at the end of the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season.
"His deep knowledge of the Fijian culture complemented by his insights and relationship with the players, staff and everyone in the Club assures the continuity with Drua needs," Evans said.
Jackson said he was "grateful, humbled by the opportunity".
"I have learnt a lot and I am very passionate about the Fijian culture. My time at the Flying Fijians & Drua has shown me how powerful the Fijian culture, community and passion in moulding good players and good people."
He said he was excited about the future to work with quality players and for the chance to develop leaders.
"The Drua can change people's lives and Rugby is our national sport. I am committed to ensuring Fiji continues to make a stand in Super Rugby Pacific, grows the game and sets a platform for the next generation."
