A former President of the Cook Islands Football Association has been banned from all involvement in the game worldwide until he pays off thousands of dollars in fines imposed on him.
Lee Harmon had an initial five-year ban, handed out by the OFC Appeal Committee, which started from 23 August 2021.
He appealed against the decision to the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS).
The CAS dismissed his appeal on 21 August.
Harmon was found guilty of having breached the OFC Code of Ethics on three occasions.
FIFA has extended the ban imposed on Harmon across all football-related activities and that will remain in place until the fine and full costs are paid in full.
He was fined the sum of NZ$50,000 payable to the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and additional amounts of NZ$40,910.16 and NZ$17,000.
"The ban on Mr Harmon shall continue to apply past its date of expiry until the above fine and the costs are paid in full to OFC," the OFC said in a release.
"As a result of the above mentioned decision, FIFA have extended the ban imposed on Mr Harmon to have effect worldwide across all football-related activities. This ban will remain in place for the period imposed by the OFC Appeal Committee and continue to apply until the fine and costs are paid in full.
"Following the dismissal of Mr Harmon's appeal by CAS, the above OFC Appeal Committee decision is considered final and binding," the OFC added.
