Mosese Raulini has resigned as head coach of the Fijiana 15s team.

The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) says this decision has been made by Rauluni because his acknowledges that the recent results have not been to the high performance standards he set for the team.

The Fijiana side began their WXV3 2024 campaign with a 38-3 bonus-point win over Hong Kong China.

But they side stumbled against Samoa in the second match, losing 45-17.

Rauluni, who was appointed as head coach in January, will complete his contract with the union after the Fijiana's WXV3 final game against Spain in Dubai.

"This decision has not been an easy one," he said in a FRU media release.

The former Flying Fijians captain will return to Australian to be with his family.

During his tenure, the Fijiana qualified for the Rugby World Cup 2025 and won the 2024 Oceania Championship.

He also coached the Fijiana Drua to the 2024 Super W final.

FRU chief executive Rovereto Nayacalevu said they respect Rauluni's decision and are grateful for his hard work and dedication to Fijian rugby.

"His leadership will be missed by everyone at the FRU and the rugby community."

The Fijiana 15 will face Spain at 4:30am on Sunday in their final WXV3 match.
