Banned for almost two decades, Fiji's Great Council of Chiefs is back and pushing for greater influence
The Great Council of Chiefs, known as Bose Levu Vakaturaga in Fijian, dates back to colonial times. Established in 1876, the council was used as an advisory body for the British colonial rulers.
