New Zealand gets a new foreign minister this week after eight years of Murray McCully.

Gerry Brownlee will on Tuesday be sworn in as his replacement, with Mr McCully set to retire at September's election.

Mr McCully says he took a deep personal interest in the Pacific, where 60 percent of the countryNs aid budget is spent.

But he also oversaw dramatic change, and as Jamie Tahana reports, there are mixed feelings in the region about Mr McCully's tenure.
