Canberra accused of leaving PNG officials in dark over Manus

The Governor of Manus province says Australia is leaving Papua New Guinea officials in the dark about its intentions for hundreds of refugees stuck on the island.

Charlie Benjamin says there remains great uncertainty over what will come of the refugees since Tuesday's official closure of the Australian-run processing centre.

Although food, water and power services are cut at the centre, about 600 refugees are refusing to move to new locations in Manus' main town.

Mr Benjamin told Johnny Blades he has humanitarian concerns for the refugees who are refusing to leave the Lombrum centre.
