A film about transgender women in Tonga which won a number of international film awards has premiered in New Zealand.
Titled 'Leitis in Waiting', it tells the story of Joey Joleen Mataele's life in Tonga over the course of a year and has been dedicated to to all members of the Tonga Leiti Association who have passed away.
She told Sara Vui-Talitu her story highlights everyday battles many leiti's face.
